Social Justice
“Justice for all life”; The Café will hold the space and be a conduit for grass-roots, social justice movements, embodying solidarity and justice (food, employment, ecological, etc.) in every aspect of its operation (i.e., sustainable practices, local sourcing, fair trade). We work with the community to get to the root of social problems.
Prices are kept low and a daily "pay as you can" soup option ensures that everyone will get a hot meal.
The cafe space is also available to hold Social Justice events and community meetings. As one of the core 6 values of the cafe, the Social Justice impetus is very strong and we work to foster open, just relations in all that we do.
